Movies

We buy movies and TV shows in any physical format. Condition matters, and we do not purchase tapes with mold, severe damage, or playback issues, or disks with scratches. We also buy VCRs and combo VHS/DVD players.

Video Games

We buy and sell video games and consoles with a strong focus on retro gaming. However, we do buy and sell games and consoles outside of that range — older and newer alike. Condition, functionality, and completeness will affect price, and non-functional or severely damaged items aren’t something we’re able to purchase.

We price items based on:

  • Expected resale value in our shop (not highest online listing prices)

  • Current demand

  • Condition and completeness

  • How quickly an item is likely to sell

  • Sold comps, past sales, and our in-store experience

Here’s how our buy / sell / trade process works:

  • Only the owners can make purchasing decisions (but any associate can help you drop off items for pricing)

  • Anyone can bring in movies or video games

  • Drop items off so we can price them when we have available time
    (usually within 1–2 business days)

  • We do not purchase:

    • Non-functional items

    • Severely damaged items

    • VHS tapes with mold

  • For movies, we buy VHS, DVD, and Blu-Ray.

  • For games, we focus mostly on gen 4–6, but can purchase of physical games and consoles from any generation

Payment options

  • Cash (lower payout)

  • Store credit (higher payout)

Store credit is great if you’re planning to dig back into the shop for media, skate gear, or local art and apparel.
